Milton wrote in a letter to Cromwell "peace hath her victories no less renowned than war." The line indeed carries a world of wisdom and truth. Victories of peace are won over disease, pain and suffering, over illiteracy, ignorance and superstition and over poverty, oppression and tyranny. Victories of peace involve no bloodshed. These bring happiness, comfort and relief to the whole humanity.
