Letter on the 13 Colonies

The knowledge I've gained from my work for the Boast R Us agency should

prove to be very useful to you in deciding which colony to settle in. I have traveled and

explored life in all three regions, the New England Colonies, the Middle Colonies, and

the Southern colonies, and it is my personal opinion that you should reside In the

Middle Colonies, specifically Pennsylvania. As opposed to the strict religious societies

of New England, the middle region is much more tolerant of diversity among religions.

The soil in the middle region is rich and farming has become a very prosperous activity.

There are two rivers of major importance, the Hudson and the Delaware. Most residents

here live in peace with the Natives and there is hardly any need for concern of an Indian

attack. To be more precise, the Pennsylvania colony was established by William Penn

in 1681 after he received a charter from the King. He is currently the governor, and is

advised by a council and an assembly of representation elected by the people. In

Pennsylvania, Quakers and other religious groups such as Lutherans, Jews, Baptists,

and others warship freely, and the right to vote is not based on church membership.

Being that you and your husband are not of

trouble getting work with another carpentry company here. I hope my advice and

early colonists, but isn't as prevalent now. Many settlers in the Middle colonies suffer

the Protestant faith, It would be difficult and

ague. Skilled midwives delivered most babies, and the few doctors there are either

happy here. It is a pleasant place with many opportunities. Your husband will have no

steadily. Having 5 children, you will fit right in. The average here is seven children per

most religions thrive here because of the enormous toleration. Pennsylvania has been

consume very little water though, which they fear would make them sick.
