The French Imported Liqueur is Not Made for Just Anyone

The French imported Chambord is a liqueur not made for just anyone. Chambord is only for the elite in style and taste. The classic black suit on the man and the well fitted dress on the woman clearly show Chambord is not for the average American. Chambord is made of black raspberries, giving it a rich defined taste. This ad was not made to strike the eye of your average lower class whiskey drinker. Instead this ad is to catch the attention of a more sophisticated upper middle class martini kind of guy. The beautiful woman in the arms of this dashing young man is used to sell this ad. Her face ever so gently pressed against his, her arm wrapped around his neck, and her left hand softly touching his as he holds the bottle of Chambord is what sells this ad. The clean cut look of this couple enjoying a romantic evening is what sells this ad.

At a first look of the ad the eyes are quickly drawn to the opening of the woman's dress. The eye moving from left to right and down, directly after spots the bottle with the name, Chambord, clear as da


Dim lighting is set to make any night look equisetic. For this ad that is exactly what they used, a very dark back drop, with direct light only on the bottle, and what appears to be the rest reflecting off her skin. A reflection off of her face makes her radiant as she reaches up to kiss him. She looks like she wants him. This picture does not look like it was set up to be like this. Instead, it looks like the camera caught a couple at the right moment. All is perfect; the man's suit blends in with the background of darkness. The only thing the ad wants you to notice is the woman and the bottle. The martini glass does not even have a big emphasis on it, but only when you look at the ad all the way through do you notice it.

In France Chambord is known as "La Liqueur Royale de France", which means, the drink of royalty. The ad shows us that royalty is not enjoying this drink, but someone of good taste is. This ad would not have been sold as well to the upper class that it is intended for, if, the man were in a tee-shirt and jeans, the wom
