"When we look at modern man we have to face the fact that modern mansuffers from a kind of poverty of the spirit, which stands in glaring contrast to his scientific and technological abundance, we've learned to fly like birds, we've learned to swim the seas like fish, and yet we haven't learned to walk The cataclysmic events of September 11, 2001 have left indelible images in our memories. The horrendous sight of a high jacked plane crashing, full velocity, into the south tower, unforgettable images of innocent people, holding hands, leaping from the buildings 90 storeys up, these scenes will never be erased from our minds. The most powerful nation on Earth was brought to its knees, transforming the world forever. In the wake of these deplorable attacks, however, a positive factor has emerged. A renewed patriotism has swept not only America, but the rest of the world. Many countries have joined together, leaving their past grievances behind, to fight terrorism as one. Yet in the mist of these events, a minority group has been overlooked. Muslims have been victimised and stereotyped all over the world, put into the same category as the te
"Race" can be defined as a "body of prejudgments that distort our ideas about human differences and group behavior". Racial beliefs form myths about the diversity in the human species and about the abilities and behavior of people homogenized into racial categories. Racism is divided into varied concepts, such as physical appearance (skin color, other distinct features etc), ethnicity (ethnic group, e.g., Hispanic), prejudice (conflicting attitudes, perceptions, ill thoughts of other groups), discrimination and marginalisation. In 1979, Social Psychologist, Gordon Allport revealed the five point scale of Racism: "Antilocution - Avoidance - Discri
