The First Amendment was intended to reaffirm that the Constitution granted no power, either positive or negative to the federal government over religion. Today, this amendment is constantly being dismantled by small incidents, from vouchers for religious schools to prayers at athletic events. Some significant controversial subjects, such as adding creationism theory to public school's science curriculum and President Bush's 'faith-based' project have started uproars in America. If I were to choose an issue to fight for, I would choose to fortify the separation of church and state in the Unit
