September 11th
Terrorism is one of the more repulsive things in this world. No matter what country you decide to live in there will be terrorism to a certain extent. Some organizations are bigger than others and some are smarter than others, but there is one thing they all have in common, that is that they cause havoc in this world and harm innocent people. There is still another thing that all of these terrorist organizations have in common that that is that they are under attack by the United States of America. America right now is in a war against terrorism and has said that they will completely eradicate terrorism and all forms of it. America started this war on basis of the September 11th attacks and if all the evidence was laid out on a table, it is clear that America was justified in taking drastic steps to end the threat of terrorism in this world. September 11th is a very sad day for the United States of America. On September 11th American Airlines Flight 11, Flight 77, United Airlines Flight 175, and Flight 93 were hijacked by men holding small razors and other weapons, with the passengers of the airplanes not knowing the fate that awaits them. Of these four airplanes two were used to crash in to the World Trade Center Towe
Also the world must take in to consideration what the world would be like if America has instead not retaliated to Japan and let them go on and just tried to stop them with words. Japan would have taken over most of Asia and maybe even the world. This comes to show that when someone commits an act of war on another the right way to react is not just to sit around and try to send diplomats, but it is to retaliate. As in the case of Osama Bin Laden, we are not able to send diplomats to him because we do not know where he is, so thus the only liable and right option is to go to war with them. (US News October 8, pg.48) The Al Queda has also been depriving the people of Afghanistan of their rights and freedom. When the senate got together to talk about the reaction to September 11th and what they should do, they first put their trust in the president of the united states of America, but also they all felt that it was America's duty to protect the freedom of other nations. Like in Korea, Vietnam and other countries America has intervened on their behalf to keep the people free and out of harms way. So like the previous cases, America must keep their promise to the world and uphold justice in Afghanistan and the whole world against terrorism. America being a democracy became the top of the world many years ago and since then they have kept of the protection of other nations and there is no reason why America should stop now. It was a unanimous opinion that the catastrophe on September 11th was an act of war and that America is in this war for the long run and will not give up. So there is no need to worry about America just pulling out because it is not worth the cause. (Senate.gov) America was justified in doing this by the Just war theory. Point one says that you must have a just cause to go in to war with an opposing force. This just cause most of the time is in self-defense or because of harmful violence committed against your nation. America is clearly justified by the first point because Bin Ladden's group was the first to attack America, and there was clearly harmful violence committed. The second point says that war must be declared only for the right intentions. The intentions of the United States could not be better. They are going out in to the world and eradicating the one pseudo nation which hides under the protection of other states, which is the terrorist organization. Terrorist have been tormenting people all around the world and this one last act has blown the world over board, now the whole world has joined in to eradicate terrorism. Thirdly a nation must have proper authority to go to war with another party. In this case America has been given permission by the United Nations to go in to war with the Al Queda and eradicate terrorism, and there is no higher authority for international cases. So America has the proper authority to eradicate terrorism. The fourth, point for a just war is that going to war is a last resort. America has been enduring terrorism for many years and decades, many America
