In the book "Romeo and Juliet", Friar Lawrence was a very unlucky person, but he had good intentions. Friar Lawrence was always trying to do the right thing and help Romeo or Juliet. There are three major things that prove Friar Lawrence really did have good intentions. The first thing that proves it is his relationship with Romeo and they friendship they had. The next thing that proves he had good intentions is even though he would get credit for marring Romeo and Juliet and ending the feuds between the families, he did it for the well being of the city and for the safety of the families. Plus Romeo was a friend and he wants to do something good for his friend. The last thing that proves his innocence is how he uplifted the spirits of Romeo and Juli


The last thing that proves Friar Lawrence had good intentions is he was always uplifting Romeo or Juliet's self esteem and stopped them from killing themselves a couple of times. If he was just in it for himself, why would he care if they killed themselves? He wouldn't, he just let them kill themselves. Friar Lawrence was always trying to find a way to help Romeo and Juliet, instead of turning to their second resort and killing themselves.

In conclusion, Friar Lawrence is just a very unlucky guy, but he did have good intentions because he would never turn his back on a friend, because he married Romeo and Juliet, and because he was always uplifting their sprits.
