Cause and Effect
A detailed Summary of Cause and Effect
Presently I am failing very quickly academically. For the past year and a half I have done nothing but slack off in school. While this is attributed to my increase in my time spent training for hockey it is still no excuse. I have recently found that if I am to advance further in life I will need to do a little bit better in school. These D's and F's will not get me into college. I now have to bite the bullet I am a half of a credit short and failing most of my class. Often I find myself asking what will I be doing in four months. Though I am not doing very well in high school, I do feel that I will be doing just fine when it comes to the college life.
The truth is I have done nothing to prepare me for college. I arrived at East High two semesters ago from a very rigorous and strict private school. The type that you were a uniform to and that suspends you for one un-excused absence. All assignments had to be turned in by the end of the semester or you would not pass. I made okay grades at this school, but nothing off the chart. Then I arrived at East High School and quickly found that it was very easy for me to not go to class and to just not do anything at all. It was great for awhile. But now gr

I have never had good study habits, as a matter of fact I really have no study habits. I tend to enjoy doing things at the last second and not preparing at all on test. I do not think I do it because I am lazy. Rather I believe it is a game to me on some level of consciousness. I have always enjoyed seeing how little I can do to get by in a class. Though I believe I enjoy seeing how many chances I can be given much more. I have been known to push teachers to there furthest reaches and for some reason they will or can not break on me, that is saved for next years students. Unfortunately sometimes I lose this very dangerous game. I push the teacher or the school administration to far and they snap. This lead to a catastrophic ending, leaving me ejected from the class or even the school. So in light of my past actions I have decided to play along with what I am supposed to do, just this once.

I do know that there are things that I want to have happen in the next six months. My first and most important is graduating high school. Without this goal I can not finish the other goals. My next goal is to earn the most valuable players award as well as the most improved players award. My third and most important goal is to gain the thirty pounds I need to have in order to go to St. Louis and play hockey next fall. Though now I have learned that I have to graduate high school first.
My time management is another issue, I am great at it. First of all everything that I need to do is written down in a daily planner. This very easy task helps my busy life have some order to it. With all of the running around I do, from school to practice to the gym and work, I believe that I could forget to go to school if it wasn't on my schedule. Every little thing I do is scheduled from snacks to classes and trips. Unfortunately I have just recently decided to put studying into my schedule and I am having a very hard time finding a place for it. Its hard to move things around that are also just as important to your future as school is. Though without scheduling my day nothing would ever get done.
