Reflections Of 911

A detailed Summary of Reflections Of 911

REFLECTIONS

1.) A. Immediately when I hear 9-11 or Sept. 11, I think about an enormous American flag flapping violently in the crisp cold wind. This angers me. Following the giant airplanes crumbling into the tall skyscrapers, people went out and bought flags like there was no tomorrow. All of a sudden everyone wants to be patriotic, they want to be a "good American," whatever that is. A flag doesn't show me anything, it is a huge gaping hole. I don't see how the flag is relevant to these horrid events. It merely shows that you want to be an "American" and you don't feel "American" enough. Fly your idiotic flags.

B. I start to think about two minute long commercials filled with people crying and sad music. Firefighters dirty from the wreckage of engulfing dust clouds, pulling people to safety. Young kids balling their eyes out in the comfort of their mother's deep arms. This is what is seen daily on TV, reminding every person staring endlessly at the cube, mind number, in front of them. I understand that thousands died and there are these heroes that put all their blood and sweat into helping save lives but I think that is the only thing people understand. They snap quickly into a mind set where Afg

it will ever be over. People seem to want to slaughter each other.

C. I think of a sparkling overpowering airplane sitting on the runway waiting patiently to take to the never-ending skies. When this thought enters my mind I think of long luxurious Hawaiian vacations but I'm sure when others see this in their society corrupted heads the first thing that their brains stumble upon is the fact that one of these magnificent inventions created a world of pain and grieving. I understand how this comes about but I don't get hung up it, I am out to enjoy myself, not to beat myself and stress myself out because of something that happens more than people think. It's how this f**ked up world works.

5.) War stimulates my mind and I suddenly get a picture of Bush in my head. Bush dressed nicely, sweating like

sized vehicles of out time. I have little knowledge about it all and I choose to stay ignorant. I don't think

fault, or something like that. We don't talk about it much simply because it doesn't come up. I can't change their minds about it after trying numerous times so I'll leave it be. I was touched by the amount of people that died not just here but everywhere and not just Americans but all people. I am not going to sit around on my ass grieving about it thou
