Women were to cook, clean, work and raise a family all without complaining. No wonder a wife would want another wife around the house. In 1970, Judy Brady wrote “I want a Wife”, explaining why some women would want a wife of their own. She goes on to explain why she wants a wife. She wants a wife who will support her while she goes to school and who will fully take care of the entire household, marital and social responsibilities which also include taking care of the children. A wife who will take care of all the doctor and dentist appointments, sick children and all the schooling for the children. A wife who will arrange the social life but also who stays out of it except to clean the house for guests and serve the guests. She wants a wife who cooks well, folds laundry, serves meals and doesn’t complain about her day while the husband vents . She also wants a wife who will take care of the sexual needs along with the responsibility of birth control. T
