Orindary people
Grief - Deep and poignant distress caused by or as if bereavement. This is how Websters Dictionary Defines grief. Grief in some ways is a insufferable, disturbing, intense feeling. Mrs. Ross says that grief is something that everyone has to go though at some stage of their life and all people must express it in order to continue a "normal" life. When the World Trade Center in New York City fell, people all around the United States felt this feeling some in different ways. Most at the time of the crash felt immediate Denial of the situation, like it couldn't have happened here, this is the USA we're untouchable no one can do this to us. But they did. Then most, if not all, people moved on to Anger. They expressed their feelings by demanding there are repercussions of this act of terrorism and there were when we began bombing in Afghanistan and storming in with our troops. This is just a very brief view of the stages of grief under these circumstances. In the book Ordinary People by Judith Guest, Conrad also struggles to show these feelings of Denial, Isolation, Anger, Bargaining,
Acceptance - taking or consenting to take something offered. This is the final stage for all when they go through Grief, like wise this is Conrad's also. Conrad's first sign of Acceptance is after his mom left and he finally gets it that it wasn't his fault none of it was he just reacted and you can't be blamed for reactions. Depression, and finally Acceptance to his friends, family and most importantly himself. Anger - Rage, passionate displeasure. This is the hardest feeling for Conrad to show, but when he does you can tell he feels better. " Burger sits back in the chair. "Now that," he says, "is a lie, you're mad as hell. You'd don't like being pushed. So why don't you do something? After Burger says Conrad goes off, this is the first time we see him let it all out and he replies to Burger with, "Fuck off" and "Go to Hell." He also feels an underlying anger at himself for living when Buck dies and he lives. " I need something, I want something I want to get off the hook!" he blames for being the weaker of the two but still living.
