Columbus The Hero???

Christopher Columbus discovered America! Well, that is what they teach us in school. But, Does he really deserve all the credit for discovering the Americas? Did he really discover that the world was Round? Does he deserve to be called a hero? That remains to be seen. However, I will show you The Reasons why I personally do not feel, Columbus is a hero.

He only cared about money. http://www.nmm.ac.uk/education/fact_files/fact_columbus.html The website for the British national Maritime Museum clearly states, "Columbus knew that the world was round and realized that by sailing west, instead of east around the coast of Africa, as other explorers at the time were doing,
