September 11, 2001 a day that no one will soon forget, but is that because the media will not let us? I admit that September 11, 2001 was one of the most tragic events in American history. But how do we move on with the media keeps showing us those disturbing images or interviewing people that witnessed it or just people that have flags coving everything they own. How can we move on with all this media attention? How do the families and friend of the murdered move on?
I remember waking up to see the disturbing and tragic events on TV, I couldn't believe my eyes. I now think its time for the media to shut up about sept, 11 every time I watch the news they always have some stories about some subject that some how they could relate to sept, 11 and so they do and than once again we have to relive the tragic event. Many media outlets seem to want to exploit America's grief by replaying the trauma of the attacks, instead of honoring the date with a serious debate over
"It brought me back to the second of that day when I similarly had the TV on in the morning and saw what was going on there," says Ferugio. "And it's not a nice place to go." She's understandably fearful of being forced to go back that horrific day.
In my closing I just want to say that we can not forget the past but do we have to show the graphic events of that day, or the their special reports on security and how its not working every time the media deems it fitting? Cant the media just tell the government that there is a problem let them fix it than tell use about it? The one year anniversary of September 11 was just a few days go and talking to many of my friends and family members they all commented to me that they were more depressed due to the media showing the graphic images over and over.
