It seems that she thinks that women wish to have authority over men. The tale centers around the question "what do women want?," and it seems to support her view that women wish to have control over men.

She gives a pretty clear picture of herself. It is like you can feel sadness when she stops and thinks of her youth. It is like she has a fear of growing old and ugly and I also thought the same thing when reading her tale. It was like she was thinking of herself or referring to herself as the old hag.
