The Ladies Man

"Ooooo, it'th a lady," is the typical response most female callers would get from The Ladies Man Leon Phelps as soon as their sweet voice enters his radio headset. Based on the excessive use of sexual innuendo in his style of speech, Leon Phelps a.k.a. The Ladies Man, only solidifies the fact that he truly is a fun loving, care-free swinger that enjoys nothing more than a good one night stand. Leon expresses his sexual views and vocabulary mostly on his radio show and regardless of constant warnings and fines, he continues to stretch his freedom of speech to their furthest limits. He seems to perceive the women that he sleeps with to be victories, as if the concept of sex is a game to him. His constant referrals to his female flings as ,"Sweet thang," and his never-ending quest to sleep with as many women as possible only reiterates that fact that he is a man-whore, and what's more, he is proud of it.

First of all, Leon's lisp is the most notable trademark relating to his style of speaking. Every "S" that passes through his lips is transformed to a "th" sound, adding humor to his already hilarious one liners. I have noticed that many people who have speech impediments have lower self-esteem, or are on the shy side. Leon

In short, Leon Phelps has a speaking style that is all his own. He not only portrays the image that he is a "Ladies Man," but he backs it up as well. He is a comical character whose humor fits today's society perfectly. He has what every man really wants, to be surrounded by and sleep with countless beautiful women. However, he also acts and dresses in a way that most people would not even consider being like. Leon is overly obsessed with women and sex and his personality and speech style both show that.

Furthermore, there is a definite difference in the way that The Ladies Man acts in front of the ladies in comparison to the way he acts around his friends. Leon is pretty much a goofball around his friends. In the scene that explains how Leon met Julie, he is dancing around like clown. However, as soon as a lady enters the picture, Julie came and sat at the bar, he turns into the "smooth, suave, charming" Ladies Man that no female can possibly resist. In this respect he is very similar to a Jekyll and Hyde type character. When he is hanging out with the guys at Lester's Bar, he is life of the party. Everybody is paying attention to him and he basically is performing to get them to laugh. Then a lady walks in and he instantly transforms into the sexually appealing, charismatic guy who is always on the top of his game.

In addition to "talking the talk", Leon literally walks the walk. The way that he carries himself portrays an enormous amount of self-confidence. I attribute and enormous amount of Leon's success with the ladies to his body language that drips with coolness. He does not walk, he struts his stuff. He walks with a swagger in his step. This slightly arrogant attitude catches the ladies' eye. Leon knows this, which only fans the flame of his ego.

Although his pickup lines are side-splitting
