History vs. Myth

Modern historians use many resources as the basis for their research. However, with the growing library of knowledge by which the historians work these days, it is essential to differentiate between what is history and what is myth. There are many differences between history and myth. First of all, history addresses many issues in a very factual way while myths only try to explain a few of the daily occurrences through very subjective ways. The spread of historical knowledge helps the general public to make judgments on past events so as to justify their modern ideas. One such example would be that people study communism in the past to justify their opinions and actions towards communism in today's world. Myths, however, are written for purposes very different from that of history. First of all, without any other forms of entertainment, many myths were written simply to entertain the reader. This links myths very closely to fiction, unlike history. Also, as people of ancient civilizations did not have the knowledge of the phy
