Life or Death in One Minute
Imagine waking up in a tightly sealed box only to hear the sound of dirt hitting the top of the box as you are being buried alive. As you look around, you can only see the faint outline of your hands as you hold them a half and inch from your face. When you breathe through your nose you can only smell the funeral home, where you have been laying for the past week. You then feel around the padded surroundings to see if you can push your way out, but by this time there is too much dirt to escape. Finally you give up all hope, lie in the coffin, and watch your whole life flash before your eyes. I was playing outside with my neighbors one day, when I decided to climb the highest tree in my woods. It just so happened that the tallest tree was also the most dangerous tree in the whole woods. All of the bark had fallen off, and there was not a single leaf on that tree. There was always a vulture perched right on the top branch. I then walked up to the tree, took a big breath and started my way up to the top. When I reached an eighth of the way to the top, I stepped on a branch and heard a big crack. Suddenly the branch detached off the tree and fell on the ground right beside my neighbors. After the branch almost killed my
While I was coming down my neighbors left for a while, to search the woods. When they returned, they found me lying on the ground, not breathing or moving. The youngest neighbor ran to get my parents. After the little sister explained to my parents what happened, they called 911 right away, and then ran out to get me. They brought me to the house, and laid me on my bed. Then the ambulance arrived and came into my room. After examining me carefully, the paramedic then told my mom the worst words a mother could ever hear, "Your son is dead." For some odd reason I could hear the whole conversation, but I couldn't move at all. I tried my hardest to move my hands or open my eyes, but it was just too hard. They placed me in the ambulance, and sent me to the hospital. While I was at the hospital they did tests on me to make sure I just wasn't in a coma. When I was at the hospital my parents had a very hard job to do, plan my funeral. neighbors I could hear them yelling, "Adam, come down it isn't safe." I ignored their concerned yelling, and for some reason I continued on, knowing that it wasn't safe. Up and up I went, not knowing which branch is safe, and which branch is not. I stopped half way to the top, and looked around only to see that I wasn't looking up at the trees, I was now looking down at them. Feeling a little frightened I decided that I should come down, before I got seriously hurt.
