Through the novel Of Mice and Men, written by John Steinbeck, I have acquired many valuable lessons about life. This novel has numerous themes: the beauty of a dream, friendship, and loneliness, and about people feeding on to a weaker target. However, the foremost theme of this novel is that a dream, no matter how impossible it is to obtain, can build a friendship and grant significance to life. George and Lennie dreamed of owning a little farm of ten acres, with a windmill, a little shack, a garden, and animals. Their dream keeps them going and lightens the load of their work.
