Animal Farm

Animal Farm is a story about a group of animals who live in a farm in England which belongs to a man named Mr. Jones. After years of mistreatment, shortage in food and very hard work the animals decide to take action and start a revolution in the farm.

The story begins with a secret meeting of all animals in Manor Farm. Major, an old pig who is highly regarded in the farm, tells the animals about his dream of a revolution against the cruel Mr. Jones. Three days later Major dies, but his speech leaves a strong impact on the animals. The pigs, who are considered to be the most intelligent animals, instruct the other ones. Napoleon, Snowball and Squealer, three pigs who are very different from one another work together and come up with the theory of "Animalism". According to that theory all animals are equal and men are the enemy. ("Four legs good - two legs bad")

One night Mr. Jones comes home drunk and forgets to feed the animals. At that moment the animals decide they must do somet

The story ends with a meeting between the pigs and a few farmers. The "lower" animals are watching the pigs and cannot tell the difference between them and the farmers. The seven commandments on the wall have been erased and instead of them there is only one sentence written: All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others.

As time goes by in the farm, the main effort of the animals becomes building the windmill. With each difficulty that rises up - Snowball is the one who is being held responsible as the traitor who would do anything to harm the windmill and the farm. While the pigs and the dogs enjoy big meals, there is a shortage of food for the "lower" animals who work seven days a week.

One night Napoleon sets a meeting where he presents new documents which proof Snowball's betrayal. As a result, many animals confess that they have either had a connection with Snowball, or that they were a part of a plan of his to kill Napoleon. They are all being slaug
