Kayaking has always been one of my favorite hobbies. I can't think of many other things better than going out and spending a day at the beach with some friends. With my kayaks, there are so many fun things I can do, not to mention it's a great workout. Snorkeling, surfing, and fishing are just a few activities you can do while kayaking.

I have always loved snorkeling. Unfortunately, I have always been forced to snorkel around piers and rocks near shore. On my kayak, I can paddle out as far as my arms feel like taking me. Just drop the anchor, throw on your gear, and dive in. I sometimes like to bring an underwater camera to get shots of some of the beautiful reefs or fish I happen to come across. I have gotten man

When the surf is too rough for snorkeling, I can always do some surfing. Catching a wave on a 12 foot 50 pound kayak is a little more difficult than it sounds. The bigger the wave though, the easier it is to get it... whether or not you want to. In the fall of 1999, a good friend and me were at the beach doing a little surfing on some rather large waves due to a tropical storm just off the coast.
