Upon meeting me in person many people assume that I have ethnic traits associated with my personality, because of my ethnicity. Being first generation Mexican American has made it difficult to fully integrate with the generalized community in my area, during my elementary school years. Though I believe that my social difficulties have greatly helped me create a cosmopolitan persona. My single parent upbringing has also encouraged me to attain a better living situation. Adversities to my education, such as low income and relocation, have not deterred me from aspiring to a better education.

I believe that my years in High School have given me the ability to grow as a student, but most of as a person. During my Junior year I believe that I grew levels of responsibility and maturity. Nearing the end of my Junior year I was faced with many financial struggles, I acquired employment and moved away from home. During this time I attended a local community college. The pressures of gave me the opportunity to redefine the prioritization of responsibility, as I am applying it to my present time.

I seek to enter the University of California system in aspirations that I will benefit educationally form the well-established educational facilities. I have aspirations that attending the University of California system of schools will allow me to benefit the campus communities.
