An American Society
A detailed Summary of An American Society
"This movie has too much nudity", that's one thing you will never hear a man say. Men seem to have this image to live up to. If a man says a movie has too much nudity, he won't look cool in front of his friends. When a movie has nudity, it's usually with women, not men. If the movie had fat women or nude men, a man wouldn't like that. Today's society seems to revolve around the way we look physically and what kind of an image we have with other people.
Status is very important in the American society. Like when you start that first job that you had as a teenager. If it happened to be a fast food restaurant, you probably were doing the dishes for the first couple of weeks. Then you might have been moved to the cash register or cleaning tables out fron

t. You have to pay your dues; working from the bottom of the ladder, climbing your way up. Making the food might not be any better of a job than doing the dishes, but it sure "looks" better. The people who give you the orders, are the ones doing the paperwork. They probably were treated the same way or just think they are better than you.
Egos play a big part in how you are treated in the world today. Someone who has small self-esteem, maybe because they don't have the physically attractive image, usually will make up for it with their ego; or someone who does have the physically attractive image, might let it go to their head and has an ego bigger than the Empire State Building. A person with a big ego can be intimidating and make other people around
