"Individuals who develop major depression in adolescence are at especially high risk of suffering recurrences in young adulthood" (Hales 104). Major depression can destroy a person's way of living. Food, friends, sex or any form of pleasure no longer appeals to them. It is impossible to concentrate on work and responsibilities. Most of people might think that medication suck as anti-depressant would help suppress depression but the most effective is therapy. Most depressive patients become depressed because they hold back their feelings; anger, sadness or discouragement. With therapy there is someone to talk to so it helps those who are depressed a lot. "Professional therapy is essential in treating bipolar disorders" ( Hales 105).
Most suicide attempts start with the feeling of depression whether, it's genetic or developed depression. Most people don't know that they have depression, or aware that they are at high risk of developing depression.
