Nuclear Diary

A detailed Summary of Nuclear Diary

Diary of a young boy probably still at junior school, found after the third world war

Things are getting rough, and I'm not sure what's going to happen, all I need is for Man Utd. to win this one game, and I win that bet with Johnny, five pounds, a months pocket money. The fool, as if Ipswich would win this time I've got the upper hand. Everything's going well at the moment, and it's nearly Christmas, I think I might just get the trampoline this year, along with a new brother hopefully. You'll never guess what, he made me hold up the Arial for his TV this morning, just because he wanted the news on five, for fifteen minutes, and I've got a sore back now. I don't know what he was watching and I hate the news, it was just some stupid thing about big bombs which means nothing to me, all I know is that the Simpson's starts at six. Anyway I've got a problem, and this time it's not my brother, and I guess you should know first, as you always seem to listen, it's my crazy teacher and I'm beginning to get worried, and I don't think it's just me either, the whole class is getting worked up. You see, he keeps talking to us about this stupid nuclear stuff, I don't know exactly what it means, but America and Iraq seem t

We've been under here about two weeks now and I'm not feeling too great, the smells enough to make anyone go insane, which my dad has done several times. I'm finding it hard to write as there's very little light, and according to my watch it's nearly lunchtime, but there won't be any lunch. You'd be amazed at how quickly all that food is going, and now it's down to about one tin a day, that doesn't agree with my stomach. Mum's taken to being sick about four times a day, and dad doesn't look to good, in fact he hasn't moved for a while. Diary, this might be my last entry, my candle is running out and I'm not allowed to go to the kitchen and get another one. Things are bad and getting worse. Christmas is tomorrow but I don't think anyone will be celebrating. I'm going to try and wake dad up, he's been asleep nearly two days now. Diary, you are the last friend I have, but it's getting very hard to talk to you, everyday is the same, and I'm not sure tomorrow will be any different...

At lunchtime, mum went to the supermarket again, I don't know why because I've never seen so much food in this house before, and all the food seems to be going in our big "pond. Something isn't right, and I'm still missing school, I want to see my friends again and I want to know where they all are. I tried phoning them again and the phone isn't working at all this time, appalling, Tony Blair should look at the state of his own country at the moment instead of worrying about this nuclear threat. Like it's going to happen anyway.

America have said they will use these if what they want doesn't happen,
