Competition is a form of social interaction. According to Tischler, competition is a form of conflict in which individuals or groups confine their conflict within agreed upon rules. Competition is a common form of interaction in the modern world, in sports, the marketplace, education system and the political system. Throughout the paper I will be mentioning different opinions about competition and how it works in different aspects.In sports competition is very healthy and desirable in many aspects such as sports, the economy, games and child development. When a children starts to grow and interact with other children they star experiencing competition. Parents should not protect their children from competition. The child can learn some valuable lessons from healthy competition that will serve him well as he gets older (Fawley, p.1). Children can also learn a lot from competition such as how to play by the rules.
