What is freedom? Freedom to me is the men that have given up their lives in the battle for freedom. The men who bravely charged into the night not knowing what was standing on the otherside waiting for them. That is freedom, men, and women who fight for our rights to be truly free. Without them none of what we have right now would be even possible. So this is what freedom is people fighting the fight, sacrificing everything they had just so that the future of the nation isn't lost in the battle.
War is never friendly or good, you never say that killing people was beneficial but in obtaining freedom for ones nation, lose of life seems always to be a part of it. Men of the Navy, the Army, and the Marines have always seemed to answer the call of our nation. To take down the unjust out there, to bring the hammer down on such lunatics as Hitler and such people, that have challenged our
right to be free. When our freedom and rights were challenged when Japan bombed Pearl Harbor we responded to take back what was ours, our humanity.
Our soil once again has been breached, our freedom coming in check, because the actions of people. Yells for help now have fallen on deaf ears, tears have been shed on this nations soil, a tragedy has brought this nation back down to a reality that has never been felt so much as of now. Generation X never even seeing a war before now, will probably more than likely will see one of the battle lines, fighting for our freedom to maintain the peace for us and the future generations to come.
