Ali
A detailed Summary of Ali
"I am the greatest!!! I'm young; I'm handsome; I'm fast. I can't possibly be beat. They all must fall in the round I call. I should be a postage stamp. That's the only way I'll ever get licked. The heavyweight champion of the world should be pretty like me. It ain't bragging if you can back it up. Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee. I'm so mean, I make medicine sick. I shook up the world. Me! Whee!!!." *
These words come from the mouth of Muhammad Ali. If you ever hear a man speak of himself in such a way, it makes you wonder. It makes you wonder if he has the right to speak the way he does. It makes you wonder if people accept him without any hostility. It makes you wonder what is so special about this person. If anybody, Muhammad Ali is the man that has the right to speak the way he does. In the boxing ring, he was feared and respected for his accomplishments. However, Muhammad Ali was known for his ego. However, this comeback was not as great as Ali said it would be. It was a come back where Ali was sent straight back into retirement. Ali loses three more times, being knocked out once, during his comeback. It was obvious that he was not the worlds greatest anymore. He was now just another boxer in the past. This time in Ali's life might have shown the world a part of Ali's weakness. On the other hand, this time showed the world what made Ali so great. Ali was a man that never knew how to quit. From the time he lost his bike at 12 and to today, Ali has been an example to us.
Ali came into the world of boxing with the same attitude and strength he still has today. He surprised everybody; everybody except himself. Ali was a born boxer. Ever since the age of 12 when his bicycle was stolen, he has been boxing kids or adults in one way or another. Never wanting to be abused again, Ali was determined to become th
