I still was friends with a couple of the popular kids and jocks but I didn't only hang out with them. I became friends with thugs, punks and many other types of kids. Even tough these kids weren't the most popular in school, I had a lot more in common with these kids then I did with the popular group of kids. We all liked the same kind of music, and we could relate to each. With the other group of kids I had tried to be friends with, it was hard to relate with them. I couldn't relate to going to parties and drinking or smoking. With my new group of friends it felt like I knew exactly what they were talking about every time they explained how they felt about a certain topic
