A detailed Summary of Is There a God


In understanding and explaining philosophy, there will be many views and contradictions. In these past three weeks many questions have been asked upon us in class, that requires great thought and explanation. We have been asked to look inside ourselves and break down these questions from our own experiences.

One of the first questions presented to us was, "Is there a God?" This raised several points of views. Most students believed there was a God because that was what they were told by family or other member of their community. I honestly can't say is there or not, but I will state my position. My mother and other members of my family preach the w


Philosophy asks the questions "What is this?" and "Why is this?" The human mind seeks out things as well. We seek to know essences of things and the causes of things. That is the view I support when it comes to questions about God. It is tough to say that I don't believe in God because that is what I've been told ever since I was young. Now that I'm older I ask questions like "If everyone was taught to believe in the Devil, would we still see God as we do?"
