The Ant & The Grasshopper
A detailed Summary of The Ant & The Grasshopper
Preparing for upcoming event, which is before us, is something that should not be put off until the last minute. Preparing for test, reports, and life itself is something that should not be out off until the last minute. Putting things off until the very end can cause a problem, because we need to think that anything can happen and expecting the unexpected is a way to look at anything that is before us. In the fable, "The Ant and the The Grasshopper" we see that the ant was preparing for the winter and the grasshopper thought that he could collect food at any time of the year. The procrastinating grasshopper realized that it was a little too late when the winter came and he or she had no food to eat. This fable shows that being prepared for upcoming event is something that we need to do like the ant, who was a diligent worker, and was prepared for the coming winter.
Preparation for a test that is foreseen is something that should not be put off until the last minute. There have been times that I put off studying for an exam until the last minute. When I did this, I was struggling to remember everything that was covered in class. Coming unprepared for a test is something that no know one should do in their education
Preparing for life is something that we should do because we do not know what tomorrow holds for us. Life is a funny thing because we could be waiting to set everything and all of a sudden, we are gone. We could have no health problems then the next thing that occurs is that our life is over. Preparing for life is something that I would not procrastinate on because we could die in a minute. Yes, most people think that they will probably live until they are in their 60's or 70's, but they could be the ones who leave their home and are killed in an accident. Another thing that should not be put off until the end is making our life pleasing to God, "When the inter came the Grasshopper had no food and found itself dying of hunger, while it saw the ants distributing every day corn and grain from the stores they had collected in the summer." Preparing for eternal life is something that I personally would not put off until the end because one day we all will be judged for actions. In conclusion, preparing for anything that is placed before us not saying to ourselves that we will do it tomorrow because for all we know that might not be a tomorrow. Yes, it is good to do well in high school or college, but it will not get us into Heaven.
