Rules of the Game
Sociological imagination is the ability to see the relationship between individual experiences and the larger society (Sociology in Our Times, Diana Kendall, third edition, p. 3). The movie I chose to show sociological imagination is “Two Can Play That Game.” I watched this movie on September 3, 2002 at home while sitting on my couch taking notes. The movie was made in 2001. The reason I chose this movie is because I think it’s the best way to demonstrate sociological imagination as pertaining to my age group and also because it deals with relationship experiences and problems. This movie is about this young woman in the advertising business, who thinks she has her life and her man completely under control. She is in a relationship with a young handsome lawyer until one night when the “girls” stumbled upon her boyfriend at a nightclub with another woman. She believes that there are ten rules to follow to get her man back. While she is trying to get her man back she is also giving advice to her girl
