I think that there is a distinct line between a work of art or just entertainment, as the quote says. The aspects of the motion picture that causes me to think, to change, and become more aware of who I am, is what I look for. When I watch a movie, whether it is a comedy, drama, thriller or action flick, it is more than just some thing to take me out of my life's worries and responsibilities, I look at all the details of the picture and analyze it's significance, and hope that it make me think about the that subject mater of the movie. I usually pay no attention to what other people think of a movie or how many stars the newspaper gave it. The things I

As long as it appeals to my eyes and it make sense I will consider it one of my good movies. I consider myself someone who is easy to please, although after reading this you may think different. It all comes down to these questions. Were the one, two, or sometimes even three hours I just spent watching a movie a waste of time? Or did it give me something to think about that will sustain me until the next time I look intently at a screen to watch a piece of entertainment or art?

Just as important in a movie as the appeal to the eye, is the content, like the actors/ actresses, the story line and the script. The film industry sells their flick with the movie star names and faces, everyone loves to see their favorite actor or actress, and that is what draws them to see the film. Personally I think that it is more important to have the actors and actresses correctly casted, than to have the famous name in a movie. I have found that in most movies these days, they look for the big name before the quality actors and actresses. I have discovered a trend in some of my favorite movies, usually there is an excellent child actor that brings child like reality and curiosity that keeps the plot moving. Also the plot in itself is a crucial ingredient of a movie. It seems that every "action" movie has a ruff, tuff macho man saving his damsel in distress, riding in his new sports car, which always seems to explode, get crushed, or go off a cliff.
