Alexander was interested in a lot of things as a young boy. He had a great gift for sounds and tones. Bell’s father and grandfather were both speech teachers and were of coarse an influence on bell. Alexander Graham Bell’s father introduced visible speech, which helped the deaf communicate. Alexander and his father worked on this together. In the late 1860s, tragedy struck the Bell family.
