A detailed Summary of Types of Friends


I have lots of friends, and most of them defy any sort of explanation, but most of them can be placed into one of several categories. Closeness friends, party friends, and work and school friends are the three main types of friends. I treat these differently by how far out of my way I am willing to go for them, what I am willing to do for them, even how I treat them, depends on which category they are in.

My close friends know me better than myself. Most people in this category have been friends of mine in one form or another for years; some of them go back since I was five. There is no point in secrets between us because we can read each other well enough that secrets just can not exist. Time itself seems to have no effect on our frien


To sum up, even though it sounds cruel that I treat my friends differently according to category, there is logic behind it. You would not want to go that far out of the way for someone you just met yesterday, but you would for your girlfriend. This is why I think these are the three main categories of friends.

dship. Some of my friends I only see once a year, but when we are together its like nothing has ever changed and we catch up with each other quickly. These are the friends that I would go out of the way for in a heartbeat. In this category is my girlfriend not for knowing her so well, but because I will do things for her that I would only otherwise do for people in this category. Naturally then, all of my ex - girlfriends are automatically downgraded
