Looking back onto what this world once was, we can only gasp with awe at the amazing accomplishments "primitive" civilizations had cultivated. It is from their masterpieces that we have adopted for our "new world" in hopes to achieve more than the expectations they held. It is hard to imagine that long ago, the human race was already reaching its peak of cultural advancement. However, the untimely demise of most civilizations and cultures has left us with nothing more than the "blueprints" of their tomorrow for which we have used to embrace the today that has reflected a world long lost but forever remembered.
The ancient world will forever remain a mystery to us, but the aspect of their cultural advancement has forged a major role in society today. Had it not been for the ancient Egyptian's methods of embalmment, the deceased would be nothing more but decaying corpses among the earth. The Babylonians were the first to achieve anything, for it was in Babylon where it all began. It is because of the Babylonians we have been able to reach where we are. They were the first to build cities, advance from primitive thinking to manifest awareness and the basic curator of ethnic diversity. They were the first to have separated into tribes due to physical differences, verbal differences and difference in thought. Even then, society has been based on where you stand on the social ladder. But never the less, the Babylonians have been the ones to thank for society being the way it has maintained it's self for years on end. They were responsible for ethnic diversity, which makes us physically different from them, and so we must be grateful for this because it has made us realize the difference in culture and traditions in time.
The Assyrians have cultivated the world of art beginning with their clay-made figurines of women, their pottery and even the deceased. As we have learned from their remains, we have seen how this civilization has made our world open to art and to post mortem remain
