The Braille Alphabet is an extremely vital alphabet today for blind people. A French man invented it by the name of Louis Braille. The history of the alphabet began when he was only four years old. Louis' father was a shoemaker. Everyday, Louis would watch his father make shoes by an awl, a sharp pointed tool. One day, he decided he would like to try. The awl slipped from Louis' hand and punctured his eye. His eye was destroyed forever. Later, his other eye became infected and he was blinded forever.
