Mothers who breast-feed also do not have to stumble to the refrigerator for a bottle and warm it while the baby is crying. Breast-feeding is a source of warmth and comfort, and an easy way to develop a close and loving relationship with their child.

Many woman see the advantages of bottle-feeding, but often overlook the disadvantages. First, without breast-feeding, the child will not receive the antibodies produced in breast milk that protect against infections. Secondly, formula can be expensive. Mothers must also take extra care in mixing the formula to make sure that the baby gets the right amount of nutrients. It also takes longer time to prepare formula before feeding.
