Flint Local 432
In the heart of downtown Flint, in a strip full of run down old stores, the Flint Local 432, a former run down old store itself now an all ages venue hides away during the day; waiting for the sun to drop to come to life with music. On my first visit to the club, as I stood in line waiting to get in to see the local punk bands play, I looked around and I was surrounded by a bunch of punk rock kids. The whole line was spiked hair, studded belts, and band shirts. Everyone is extremely friendly and easy to talk to and no one has a problem with anyone. It’s unlike any other line you’ve ever waited in. It’s not quite or organized, it’s more of a gathering then a line. The doors finally open and the gathering makes its way inside to pay their five dollars. After making it through the double paned glass doors and paying your five dollars to get in, many things grab your attention. Even in the dingy but well lighted lobby people are picking up flyers for future shows, checking the dry erase marker board
