Grandpa Warren was the type of person who did not have to yell to make a point; people just stopped and listened. He never needed to discipline because no one was brave enough to disobey him. My favorite things in his garden were the mint leaves because I could pick them for Grandmother's famous mint tea. Grandpa Warren grew green and red bell peppers that you could smell throughout the whole yard when they got ripe. I helped him plant tomatoes and banana peppers, even though neither of us ate them.
