The overall camera direction strengthened this scene's dramatic effect. Close-ups were utilised frequently, the pig, Doug, Lewis and particularly on the knife Lucy used for protection. These close-ups were effective in establishing a focal point on the television screen. This is constructive in forcing the viewer to watch this character or prop, ensuring the viewer obtains the maximum effect of the scene. Several close-ups on the pig released small portions of built-up tension, with the help of sound effects. A narrow focus down the hallway was utilised to construct a feeling of apprehension and being "home alone". Through the use of different camera angles, gestures, language and mood, the ideas of tension between relationships and priorities of a character's life were highlighted. In addition to this, the character's thorough use of gesture, eye contact, language and space also emphasised these concepts. This scene is a combination of effects creating excitement, movement, tension and comedy.
