College Misconceptions
After graduating from high school the next step in life for many students is to attend college. Being a freshmen in college this year I was told about many stereotypes and I was given false information about how college life really is. With the given information and stereotypes I received, I already had my own view point about college before I even left for school. The wrong image of college can lead to a very rude awakening the first couple of weeks. The adjustment from high school to college can be very significant if you are not prepared. Some ideas that you create about college could actually impede on your success during the first semester. A typical high school day is filled with trivial responsibilities that a majority of college students could almost sleep through. You wake up in the morning if you feel like it, and decide that you better get to school for another important day of learning. Upon arriving at school a couple minutes late you get slapped on the hand and told if you are late one more time you will get detention. After sleeping through your first hour class the bells ring and you walk out into the hallways and complain with all your friends how bad school really sucks. When lunch time rolls around
