A Long Road Home

Enter the world of child abuse like you could never imagine. Danielle Steels has created another amazing book. The tragedy of a young girls life as she goes threw so much pain and suffering time and time again.

The setting of this book takes place as Gabriella grows up and is frequently moving time after time because the story is based on her whole life. Each setting in this book creates a different mood for example when she is a child living at home the author creates an atmosphere of sadness and fear. In my perspective the author makes you feel like you are actually witnessing the whole situation. Gabriella the main character in the book grows up in a broken down house, as I would call it with her mother beating her for no reason at all and her father leaving and never coming back are just two main events that Gabriella goes threw as a young girl. Gabriella grew up with cruel and mean hearted parents they never actually cared about her which made Gabriella feel not wanted at all. Her mother repeatedly told her that she hated her and never gave Gabriella the time of day. She constantly beat Gabriella for no reason at all, her father always witnessed the situations but he never helped Gabriella out even though h

The man Gabriella was in love with was known all over the country for fraud but Gabriella never knew that. The man would always steal money from her, forge her signature on checks and when he found out about the half a million dollars he beat her up so badly and it just brought the memories back to her of her being a child. The man hurt Gabriella so badly she ended up in the hospital for quite a while. When she was in the hospital she thought of the situation and it brought the memories back of her and her mother and she wanted to go and find her mother and father and find out why they did what they did because she has been wondering for so many years and she thought that this would be the best opportunity possible.

Three days later Gabriella went back to the doctors and while he was examining her she started to talk about her life although she was very shy about talking about it she somehow felt quite comfortable around the doctor. Gabriella and the doctor then started to go out and talk about Gabriella's life and finally they fell in love and moved in together and they actually ended up living happily ever after.
