A detailed Summary of Writing
As I look back on the papers I have written I have come to the conclusion that the more I write the better I become. The more recent the paper is, the higher in quality it is.
I feel that I have been improving because I am constantly learning how to increase my writing skills. Every year that I have attended West Catholic High School I have taken an English class. This has helped my writing constantly improve. With a constant source of information and new knowledge I will keep improving.
Looking back on my writing from my freshmen year in high school it is obvious that I have improved my writing skills. While browsing through my writing portfolio I found two papers that I remembered quite well. Although I received decent grades on both papers it was clear to me that they were not my best work. As I look back on the two papers I wrote for Mrs. Wesotik's ninth grade English class I can't help to think of all the different things I would change. The papers don't seem to

flow. They are in logical order but the wording could use some improvement. The paragraphs aren't linked to one another properly. They should start on the same note that the previous paragraph ended with. Other than that the paragraphs have good information. The weakest area I saw is the grammar and spelling. I still struggle in these two areas. Some good things I noticed were the introductions and conclusions. Both papers had strong introductions and conclusions; however like all things these too could use some improvements. By reading the two papers I could easily tell which of the two I wrote first. When I checked the date I found out that I was correct. Even in the short period that separated the two papers I could see improvements that I had made.
I am sure by the time I have completed the twelfth grade that my writing will be at a higher level than it is at this point. This would not surprise me because I am sure I will learn new things before the year is don
