How Lack of Communication can lead to Tragedy Acting on impulse and not thinking things through or communicating with others to see what they think can lead to tragedy. The lack of communication in this play and the rush to get married without thinking things through and acting on one emotion can cause things to happen that you don’t expect. In William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare shows how lack of communication combined with lust can lead to a tragic end. It wasn't fate that killed Romeo and Juliet it was the fact that they were young and felt the need to fall in love with someone. They were also lustful towards each other so that made them think that they were in love with each other. But in fact they weren’t in love with each other they were just young and didn’t have enough experience. This combined with lack of communication lead to their deaths. They did not talk to their parents about what they were feeling instead they talked about it to each other and to their councillors. If they had talked it through with their families and let them know that they loved each other then this never would have happened.
