"In the Old Man and the Sea," Ernest Hemingway writing style brought out the true understanding of the novel. His sentence structure, word choice, and the use of dialogue, gave a certain kind of perspective to the novel. His sentence structure sound exactly like a fisherman talked.

Hemingway uses broken English but to a point in which readers can understand. In (pg 105) an example of his use of sentence structure, "I have no understanding of it and I am not sure that I believe in it."
