Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams and the hard facts which have created America...with the hope that it will be a source of joy and inspiration to all the world."

Walt Disney had a vision. It was a vision of a magical kingdom where children and parents could have fun together. This vision soon became a reality and was built in Anaheim, California on a one hundred and sixty-acre land where all dreams came true. A land full of rides, shows, food, parades, shopping, Disney characters, rivers, waterfalls, mountains, flying elephants, giant teacups, a fairy-tale castle, moon rockets, and a scenic


Disneyland is always parading down Main street. Themes for parades are usually disney films such as the lion king, or recent Disney films that premiered. These parades are full of energy and are very exciting. People dressed up and acting like lions and tigers jumping up and down. The biggest parade at Disneyland is the Main Street Electrical Parade. Just imagine floats covered with thousands of lights. Floats depicting animals and Disney Characters. Before the parade starts all the families gather around Main Street to wait for the parade to start. Once the parade begins all the lights dim and a voice comes on the speaker "Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls... Yesterland proudly presents our spectacular festival pageant of nighttime magic and imagination in thousands of sparkling lights and electro-syntho-magnetic musical sounds -- The Main Street Electrical Parade!"
