College Life

The transition from high school to college is an undermining challenge for most young students. Today students face a high level of pressure to succeed and earn degrees. College success is not an easy task for students facing constant pressures and demands from the outside world throughout their university studies.

In a newfound era, in which almost 70% of high school graduates elect to continue their education, enormous demands are placed on incoming college students. Many students find themselves staying awake late studying for exams, completing assignments, or doing research papers. Some students do not have time to finish assignments and turn in unfinished work to avoid receiving zeroes. As school becomes priority, young people's health deteriorates due to skipped meals an


d sleepless nights. Ultimately, students find themselves developing a system of time management leading to greater levels of success in school.

As the cost of college tuition continues to climb, student try earning extra money to help pay for rising costs. A large amount of students work part- time jobs and others find themselves working full time along with attending classes as a full time student. This can be costly to a student seeking a 4.0 grade point average, leaving less time for a student to study. These distractions interfere with a student's capacity to handle more than what was ever expected of them in high school. Some students may also put their job in a higher regard than school as they feel the need for money is of greater importance. This may cause them to quit school and neve
