The Artist
My name is Hiday Lowchan and I'm an artist. I work for the emperor, Kizeu Deungk. An architect, also, works for the emperor; his name is Dekuni Hasasso. Dekuni and I worked well together for a very long time. However, one day I made the best piece of artwork ever. I showed the emperor. He was astonished by how beautiful it was. Dekuni got a little jealous. That day, he ran out of the workshop in a furious manner. That night, I was out in the countryside painting and I heard voices that sounded familiar. It was Dekuni and his wife, Nisahor. I heard Dekuni say, "That showoff Lowchan. He thinks he's the best artist in the world. To me, his art looks like Kung pow chicken scratch." "His artwork is so horrible. I think all of his work should be burned and the ashes should be thrown into the Yangtze River." Exclaimed Nisahor. "I wish he would just die, so no one would ever have to endure the torture of looking at his work. Just looking at his artwork would push someone to commit suicide," Said Dekuni. Hearing them just sent me over the edge, so I devised a plan to eliminate Dekuni forever. I will make up a letter, writing in it that the previous emperor, who is dead, needs a palace up in the heavens. The letter wil

After the two weeks, I let the sheep skin dry in the sun for two weeks, so it would dry and be discolored to look aged. After it was dry, I took the skin and rubbed it in dirt. I found an old pen and some ink and wrote the letter. I took the homemade aged letter to the emperor. He read it aloud. "Yes, you may have your week; but one week and only one week. Then we will all return here and you will rise with the smoke to the heavens." "Can I have a week to resolve my family affairs, your majesty?" Dekuni asked the emperor politely. The emperor responded with a humble response and said. "Thank you, son, for sending me your best architect. My new palace is magnificent. Though its walls are a bit plain and need some decoration. Please send me your best artist. Send him the same way you did the architect." "You fool Lowchan. I never went to the heavens, but now you will go forever and will never be seen again." Then I yelled back. "Thank you. I would just like to say that if I don't come back it is because I have passed on.
