Socrates Trial

2. Pericles brought a plague to Athens for 3 years and all that happened to him was he was removed from office only to be let back in years later. Yes Socrates speaks his mind and is now treated no better then a boil on ones foot not tell me how that represents our all great democracy.

3. When the council of 30 ruled Athens very harshly putting 1,500 people to death and making 5,000 citizens out of there homes and were exiled from the city. Of the 30 one named critas ordered 5 people including Socrates to arrest the ambassador to salamis who strongly pushed to be ruled by democracy again. Of those 5 supposedly al around democracy favoring people ONE declined and rejected the order to arrest the ambassador. The one who did sits before you and is one trial for trying to break down our society and its government and that is Socrates.

6. Also those of you who say he worships false gods this means you worship false gods as well. Socrates attends all of the same religious activities and systems that most other Athenians.

2. When he says he knows nothing it is an admission to be humble. And to be wise you need to be open minded and to always be able to gain more information on the world. And if you "know all" you will not be open to gain more information.

7. As far as that goes he never as said that any certain god was wrong but in fact he said" In gods we know nothing" all that says is that we know nothing in relativity of the gods in those word nowhere does it say your gods and wrong.
