Opening the book Men Who Hate Women and the Women Who Love Them by Dr. Susan Forward and Joan Torres, I thought that it would be one more boring psychological book written in difficult language with advanced terminology and impractical advice. Therefore, from the first pages of the book I was very much surprised to discover a vivacious and colorful style of writing with a practical and interesting subject. Susan Forward, the author of the book and a psychologist, is a practicing doctor who wrote five books. Each of them was a bestseller. She also founded the Susan Forward Therapy Center, and she was a host of a daily talk-radio show that lasted for six years. Further, she took part in different TV talk shows. But what most important was that this woman herself was in the same situation of those women, for whom this book was intended. S. Forward admits that she herself suffered through a marriage with an angry, abusive man who belittled her and her work.
